Sports Massage is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system. Received regularly, this may help prevent injuries, enhance performance, break down scar tissue and improve posture.  A constant build-up of tension in the muscles from regular activity can lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as the muscles themselves.

Many athletes use regular sports massage to prevent injury because massage can accelerate the body's own restorative function, enabling you to train harder and more often. Sports massage involves manipulation of muscles and other soft tissues to ensure that they are working correctly and efficiently. Deep tissue massage helps to break down knots and scar tissue, stimulate blood and lymphatic circulation. This combined effect aids the removal of any waste from the body.  Sports massage also releases tension and restores balance to the musculoskeletal system; when received on a regular basis this will help to prevent and detect any injuries prior to them becoming an issue, creating a reduction in stress, fatigue and injury.

Sports massage also improves flexibility and range of movement by gently lengthening the muscles, so can be used to released tension and ease those aches and pains due to overtraining or injury.

Sports Massage isn't just for sports people! Perhaps you simply love DIY or gardening, or suffer postural problems due to your job or driving; something feels tight and sore - achey muscles, headaches or that annoying 'niggle'... Sports massage is amazing for alleviating these aches and pains and getting you feeling normal again.
